JACKSON – Monique Davis (center) and Ben Garrott of Catholic Charities lead an educational store tour inside a Walmart in Jackson on June 10. Participants learned skills such as how to compare unit prices, how to incorporate more fresh food into their budget and how to find better grocery deals. The training came from a grant from Share our Strength. Each participant got a $10 gift card and a challenge to create a healthy meal for her family using that card.
