PEARL – On Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at St. Jude parish, Bishop Joseph Kopacz instituted the seven diaconate candidates as lectors. This is one of the two ministries that all priests and deacons are given on the path toward ordination. The next step for these men is to have them instituted as acolytes, in late 2024, and (hopefully) with an ordination date some time in the spring or summer of 2026.
